The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has formally endorsed Yvette Herrell for her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives, where she aims to represent New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District. The endorsement was announced in Santa Fe, New Mexico, on August 26, 2024.

The NFIB, known for its robust support of small businesses, highlighted Herrell’s track record in Congress as a key factor in their endorsement. Jason Espinoza, the NFIB New Mexico State Director, stated, "Yvette Herrell has been a proven advocate for small businesses. Herrell deeply understands small business issues and was a consistent leader in advocating for and protecting small business interests during her time in Congress." He emphasized her commitment to deregulation and making small business tax relief permanent.

Sharon Sussin, the NFIB Senior National Political Director, also praised Herrell's legislative history. “During her time in Congress, Yvette Herrell held a 100% NFIB Voting Record and proved to be a strong ally of small business. Her record of supporting pro-small business legislation speaks to her dedication to helping Main Street grow and we are proud to endorse her today,” Sussin said.

The NFIB endorsement comes from its political action committee, NFIB FedPAC. This committee is funded through voluntary contributions from NFIB members beyond their regular membership dues, and decisions are influenced by grassroots evaluations conducted by its members.
