New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued a statement following the death of former Representative Eliseo Lee Alcon. Alcon, who had served as a combat medic in Vietnam and earned the Bronze Star, was recognized for his dedication to public service.
"Rep. Alcon served our state with honor, distinction, and longstanding dedication to his constituents in western New Mexico," stated Governor Lujan Grisham. His career included 16 years in the legislature where he made significant contributions as chairman of both the Consumer and Public Affairs Committee and the Labor, Veterans and Military Affairs Committee. The governor highlighted his efforts to improve the lives of veterans, workers, and families throughout New Mexico.
