NFIB New Mexico will host a virtual event on Wednesday, April 30, at 11 a.m., providing a legislative recap for the state’s small businesses. The session is exclusively for members of the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB), with New Mexico State Director Jason Espinoza leading the discussion.
NFIB members have been sent an invitation to participate. Non-members who wish to join are encouraged to register with NFIB. The session will address several key legislative topics, including a $17/hour minimum wage proposal, a mandate for paid family medical leave, and a statewide greenhouse gas emissions mandate.
Participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and share concerns about these issues and others that affect small businesses in the state. NFIB members are also encouraged to invite a guest who owns a small business.
Any member who has not received the invitation or has additional questions about the event can reach out to NFIB Grassroots Manager Kylie Barber for assistance.
The virtual meeting will take place via Microsoft Teams, running from 11 a.m. to noon MT.
