In November, the National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) New Mexico organized two small business roundtables in Deming and Rio Rancho. The events provided a platform for members to express their concerns, interact with lawmakers, and discuss the upcoming 2024 legislative session.
The Deming event was held in collaboration with the Deming Luna County Economic Development Inc. Attendees engaged in a Q&A session with State Senator Siah Correa Hemphill and State Representative Luis Terrazas, who has been recognized as an NFIB Small Business Champion Award recipient.
In Rio Rancho, members had the opportunity to meet with State Representative Joshua Hernandez at Bladewerx, an NFIB member small business.
To stay informed about future events and legislative developments affecting businesses at both state and federal levels, NFIB encourages members to download the NFIB Engage App. The app provides action alerts about relevant legislation, opportunities to contact lawmakers, invitations to NFIB events and webinars, and news on NFIB’s initiatives for small businesses across states.
Members are reminded to create or update their profiles within the app for a tailored experience. For further information or inquiries, members can reach out to Grassroots Manager Logan Nevonen via email at logan.nevonen@nfib.org.
