Announcing our new CEO: Laura Chavez!
Laura has recently been announced as SHCNM's new CEO. After serving as both the Housing Director and VP, she has accepted this position as of 1 October. She has over 20 years of experience in the housing arena including at MFA where she oversaw the Affordable Housing Act, and worked directly with housing policy and legislative initiatives. Laura has completed the NM Real Estate Commission Broker’s Exam/Licensure and The National Association of REALTORS Mandatory Ethics Training. Laura is a certified HUD Environmental Review Officer, she is nationally certified in Trauma Informed Care Service Delivery and is accredited as a HUD certified Permanent Supportive Housing/Shelter Plus Care Administrator.
