In 2000, Ingersoll-Rand introduced its full line of portable generators. With the addition of the generator line, Air Compressor Solutions focused its efforts on providing unmatched service and support to its customers requiring electric and diesel air compressors, portable generators, light towers and air tool products. Our satisfied customers range from automobile shops in Midland to major oil and gas plants and service companies throughout the Permian Basin. In 2007, Ingersoll-Rand sold its utility equipment business to Doosan Infracore; the Doosan Portable Power business group was formed, and ACS continued as their distributor. In 2009, ACS expanded its territory to include the counties in the Oklahoma and Texas Panhandles.
