New Mexico Business Coalition's (NMBC) general election voter scorecard is "currently under construction" but will be available next month, according to information on the coalition's website.

"NMBC’s highly anticipated House and Senate voter scorecard is currently being assembled and will be available in August," the scorecard's page on the coalition's website states.

A visit to the webpage displays "currently under construction" in red letters. Visitors to the scorecard can expect more "than just reviewing incumbent legislators," the web page says.

NMBC plans to circulate surveys to all post-primary candidates to find out their positions on various issues and to query how they plan to vote on business issues, assuming they win their individual races in November, according to the web page.

"The survey is created by NMBC and focused on determining candidates' positions on everything from our tax code and employment mandates, to energy regulation and the Land Grant Permanent Fund," the webpage says. "Using both the candidate survey and the past votes of incumbent legislators NMBC provides a comprehensive snap shot of what to expect from the names on your ballot."

The page also includes a countdown to the November election.

NMBC is an officially nonpartisan advocate for business owners, employees and other people in New Mexico, according to information on the about page on its website.

"NMBC knows that job creation and a welcoming business environment will improve the quality of life for all New Mexicans," the scorecard webpage says. "In order for that to occur, we need elected officials who will go to Santa Fe and fight for free markets, smart business laws and increased private sector job growth."

Every legislative session, NMBC watches votes and issues of great interest to the state's business community, according to the scorecard's webpage.

"We use the official votes cast by state legislators to aggregate a grade showing how they perform on all legislative issues affecting business in New Mexico to help voters have the information they need when heading to the polls," the scorecard webpage says.
