Sergio Almanza was sentenced to 25 years in prison today for the death of 7-year-old Pronoy Bhattacharya at the River of Lights holiday celebration in 2021. Izaiah Garcia was sentenced to life plus 13 years in the New Mexico Department of Corrections for the murder of Cayla Campos, a 21-year-old woman. The sentencing was handed down by Judge Joseph Montano on July 2, 2024. Garcia had been convicted of first-degree murder on February 29, 2024.
