The City of Santa Fe announced on April 22 that it is inviting community members to participate in shaping planned improvements for the north half of Ashbaugh Park. The city has launched a new public survey and project website to collect feedback from residents.

This initiative is part of the Ashbaugh Park Stormwater Infiltration Project, which aims to upgrade flood control measures while also creating areas for recreation, gatherings, and educational activities. According to the announcement, community input will play a key role in guiding these renovations so that park amenities align with what residents want.

The city said the survey is currently open and will remain available until May 6. Residents are encouraged to visit the project website for more information about project goals and background or to complete the short survey and share their feedback.

Officials emphasized that feedback collected during this process will directly inform design priorities for the park. “Community feedback gathered during this process will directly inform the park’s design priorities,” according to the statement.

This effort reflects Santa Fe’s approach of involving local voices in decisions about public spaces. Next steps include reviewing survey responses after May 6 as planning continues.
