The City of Roswell announced on May 12 that the second event in its new community forum series, called “Council Connection,” will take place on Tuesday, May 26 at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is set to be held in the event room of Backdraft Barbeque at 301 Railroad Ave.

The Council Connection forums are designed to give residents direct updates from the Roswell City Council and administration about ongoing city projects and issues. The events also provide a space for public discussion and allow citizens to share input and feedback on important topics facing the community. According to city officials, these forums are scheduled quarterly throughout 2026.

This upcoming session is titled “Your Roswell, Your Future: Community Vision Night,” with a focus on gathering ideas and perspectives from residents about the city’s future direction.

The City of Roswell supports community development, provides access to public records for transparency, maintains infrastructure such as water treatment facilities and road networks through its utilities and streets departments, offers municipal governance and public services to support local needs, operates under a city manager who handles daily operations and policy implementation, serves residents within its municipal boundaries for various public services, and functions as a municipal government providing local services and utilities—all according to the official website.

By holding regular forums like Council Connection, city leaders aim to strengthen communication between government officials and residents. Future sessions are expected to continue addressing key issues relevant to people living within Roswell’s jurisdiction.
