How many H-1B petitions were made by New Mexico employers classified under the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry during 2024?

Employers classified under the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry based in New Mexico submitted 267 H-1B petitions during 2024, according to data provided by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services via the H-1B Employer Data Hub.

Of these, 255 were approved (95.5%), while 12 were denied (4.5%).

Employers are classified under industries based on their reported operations and may be involved in multiple industries.

The H-1B visa program allows U.S. employers to temporarily hire foreign workers in specialty occupations requiring specialized knowledge and at least a bachelor’s degree or equivalent. The Educational Services industry led the H-1B filings in New Mexico during 2024, with 311 petitions (40.6% of all submissions), and an approval rate of 99.4%. Meanwhile, the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services industry was the second largest contributor, filing 267 petitions (34.8% of the total), with an approval rate of 95.5%.

The New Mexico employers which made the most petitions in the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services sector during 2024 included Speridian Technologies, LLC with 88 petitions, Triad National Security, LLC with 83 petitions, and Ntess, LLC with 30 petitions.

Compared to 2023, the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services sector in New Mexico saw a 0.7% decrease in the number of H-1B petitions during 2024.
