Governor appoints Anastasia Martin to First Judicial District Court

Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham has appointed Anastasia Martin to the First Judicial District Court. This appointment follows the retirement of Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer, who stepped down on May 31.

Anastasia Martin currently holds the position of General Counsel at the New Mexico Aging and Long-Term Services Department. Her previous experience includes serving as Chief Deputy District Attorney in Rio Arriba County within the First Judicial District Attorney’s Office for nearly ten years. Martin is a graduate of the California Western School of Law, having completed her studies in 2011.

Martin will officially begin her new role on June 28.
