FOIA Request to Colfax County NM Clerk & Elections Division Regarding Upcoming Election Candidates on February 5, 2025.

In our ongoing efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Enchantment State News have sent a request for public records under the New Mexico Inspection of Public Records Act, 14-2-1 NMSA 1978 et seq. The request specifically asks for a list of all candidates running in the upcoming election.

The requested information includes the first, middle, and last names of the candidates, the office they are running for, jurisdiction of the office, and party affiliation. Additionally, we have asked for contact information such as address, phone number, and email address for each candidate.
