NM State football announced its complete schedule for the 2026 season on Apr. 29, following the release of the Conference USA lineup. The Aggies will begin their campaign with a road game against Florida State, an Atlantic Coast Conference opponent, on Aug. 29.

The team’s home opener is scheduled for Sept. 5 against Mercyhurst at Aggie Memorial Stadium. Nonconference play continues with a trip to Hawaii on Sept. 12 and a home rivalry game versus New Mexico on Sept. 26.

Conference USA action starts Oct. 1 when NM State hosts Western Kentucky in the first of several midweek games as part of the league’s midweek initiative. The Aggies will have four Wednesday matchups during conference play, including away games at Florida International University (Oct. 7) and Sam Houston (Oct. 21), and a home contest against Jacksonville State (Oct. 28).

Later in the season, NM State will face Liberty at home on Nov. 7 before traveling to Missouri State (Nov. 14) and Middle Tennessee (Nov. 28). Senior Day is set for Nov. 21 with Delaware visiting Las Cruces for the final regular-season home game.

The eight-game Conference USA schedule includes an even split between home and away contests for NM State, with all dates and kickoff times subject to change based on television selections that will be announced later.
