The City of Albuquerque announced on May 4 that its Parking Division has relocated from City Hall to a new office at 501 Tijeras NW Downtown. All in-person and administrative services for the division will now be handled at this address, with operating hours from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The move is intended to make parking-related services more accessible for residents and visitors. The Parking Division oversees the management of parking citations, permits, seven parking garages, and six surface lots throughout the city. Payments for Automated Speed Enforcement camera citations can also be processed at the new location.

“This will be a better way for the public to reach us and should be much more convenient for getting permits, securing monthly spaces, or paying citations,” said General Services Department Director William Duran.

The City of Albuquerque’s government structure includes council members who elect leadership annually and set policies such as establishing goals and approving budgets, according to the official website. The city’s influence spans nine geographic districts shaped by developments like the railroad era in New Mexico, according to the city’s timeline.

For additional information about parking services or inquiries regarding permits and payments, residents are encouraged to call 311 or email [email protected].

Looking ahead, city officials expect that consolidating these services in one downtown location will streamline access for community members seeking assistance with their parking needs.
