Central Consolidated School District will offer free summer meals to children ages 1–18 at eight locations across the Four Corners region, beginning June 1, according to a May 27 announcement.
The Summer Food Service Program is scheduled to run Monday through Thursday in two sessions: June 1–June 25 and July 6–July 23. Meals will be available at Judy Nelson Elementary, Kirtland High School, Ojo Amarillo Elementary, Shiprock High School, Eva B. Stokely Elementary, Newcomb Elementary, Newcomb High School, and Career Prep High School. Breakfast will be served from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m., and lunch from 11:00 a.m. to noon at each site during their respective dates of operation.
No registration or application is required for participation in the program. Menus include entrees as well as fresh fruit and vegetables, juice, and milk.
