The 12th annual AG Day will take place on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at New Mexico State University (NMSU) in Las Cruces. The event is organized by the New Mexico Department of Agriculture (NMDA) and NMSU’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences (ACES). It is scheduled from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the Pan American Center south parking lot, ahead of the Aggies’ football game against Kennesaw State.

AG Day is a free event that aims to highlight the importance of agriculture in New Mexico through educational activities and family-friendly exhibits. Attendees can expect food sampling featuring local products, interactive booths with hands-on agricultural activities, and displays that show how agriculture impacts daily life.

The New Mexico Farm and Livestock Bureau serves as the presenting sponsor for this year’s celebration. The event also includes participation from NMSU student groups, as well as local agricultural organizations and businesses.

“AG Day celebrates what’s behind New Mexico agriculture, especially the educational aspect. It’s a chance for families and students to learn, connect and enjoy our state’s traditions,” said New Mexico Agriculture Secretary Jeff Witte.

Rolando Flores Galarza, dean of the College of ACES at NMSU, added: “AG Day allows ACES to showcase how agriculture is evolving. Through hands-on activities and innovation, we’re preparing the next generation for a strong future in farming and ranching.”

Past AG Days have included interactive exhibits such as trivia games about peanuts or live bee displays designed to teach visitors about local agriculture.
